How can I install Titan Nextgen?

Reasoning

I would like install the latest Titan build to avoid running outdated and unsupported software.

Answer

You have the option to install/upgrade to Titan Nextgen at no additional cost if you have active M&S.

Pre-Requisites

  1. Ensure OS meets system requirements for Titan FTP server NextGen.
  2. Ensure 2GBs of disk space is available for installation.
  3. Have ready the new Regcode to activate Titan Nextgen(You can request this from our sales team at mftsales@southrivertechnologies.com)



Steps

1. Run the NextGen installer, select the language of choice and click OK

2.      The installer wizard will begin in the selected language, please click on Next

3.      You will be presented with the License agreement, please review, and select the “I accept the agreement” option and click Next to proceed with the install

4.      Please specify the install directory of where you want the Titan FTP NextGen server to be installed and click Next. By default, they are stored under C:\Program Files\South River Technologies\SrxServer

5.      The installer is now ready to perform the install of Titan FTP NextGen. Click Next to commence the installation

6.      The installation shouldn’t take too long (less than 5 minutes). Once it has complete, please click Finish

7.      Navigate to the desktop, locate the new Titan FTP Server shortcut and double click it to launch the web-based Admin UI

8.      The web browser will navigate you to the Admin UI login page and prompt you with the following Welcome window to create an initial Administrator account for Titan FTP NextGen

9.      Click “OK Lets Go!”, create the Titan FTP NextGen administrator account and click “Create Initial Admin User”

10.   This will create the admin account and log you into the new Titan FTP NextGen Admin UI. This concludes the install portion of Titan FTP NextGen.

Optional: If you are upgrading from Titan legacy, you can import the legacy configuration into Titan following this article.
