Quick Start: Installing Titan MFT and DMZEdge

Question

How do I install Titan MFT and configure it with DMZEdge?

Reasoning

I am trying to install Titan MFT and want to add an additional layer of security by adding a DMZEdge server in front of my Titan server, however, I am not sure how to configure both software to make sure they are both communicating with each other correctly and connections can be made securely.

Answer

We need to make sure we configure DMZEdge correctly and add a profile of said DMZEdge server within Titan so they can communicate with each other, and traffic can be forwarded correctly.

Pre-requisites (if reinstalling Titan MFT)

  1. Have Titan MFT windows server ready.
  2. Have a windows server in front of the Titan Server for DMZEdge
  3. Make sure network layer is configured correctly to allow both servers to communicate with the designated port.

Steps

  1. Run the installer file for Titan MFT.
  2. Follow the installation wizard and select if you are using your own SQL server, install SQL Express locally, or use SQLite.
  3. Follow the prompts and click Finish to complete the installation.
  4. Install DMZEdge and confirm it is running.
