How To: Enable and Use PGP Encryption in NexGen

How can we turn on PGP Encryption and use it to Encrypt/Decrypt a file?


Answer

Follow the below step-by-step procedure.



Steps to set the PGP Key for using your Events



  1. Login to your Titan NexGen Server.
  2. Navigate to your Domain >  Servers> Security> go to PGP tab.

  3. Check the box for “PGP mode enabled”, below are the options for PGP Settings.
  4. Select your Key and click APPLY

  1. Uncheck the box for PGP mode enabled and click APPLY.

***NOTE: You need to disable the PGP mode again after specifying the Key to avoid double encryption.




Steps to specify Key 


  1. Navigate to your DomainServers > Events > click the “+” button.
  2. Add an event for Upload/Write successful

  1. In the Filename, specify the path of the File name you want to be encrypted/decrypted
  1. I.e “C:\folder\*.txt “ to encrypt/decrypt all the text files under C:\folder.
  1. Add an action for PGP Encrypt or PGP Decrypt, leave it as default, then click OKAY
  2. Click NEXT  > Enter an Event Name and Description > click NEXT >click CREATE to complete.
