How To: Update To The Latest Titan DMZ Server Release

How can I update my software to the latest Titan DMZ Server (aka DMZedge) release?

Reasoning

With the new release available for Titan DMZ Server, we would like to take advantage of the new features, added security, and keep our software up to date.

Answer

You can install/update any release of Titan DMZ Server (DMZedge) to the latest release inplace. Once the new release of Titan DMZ is installed, simply restart the OS and all configuration information remains intact.

Pre-requisites

1. Any release of Titan DMZ Server or DMZedge Server

1. The Operating System (OS) must meet the System Requirements for latest Titan DMZ Server

1. At least 2GBs of disk space available for installation and backup of legacy configuration
   

Steps

1. Run the Titan DMZ Server installer, select the language of choice and click OK
   
   

2. The installer wizard will begin in the selected language, please click Next
   
   

3. You will be presented with the License agreement, please review, and select the “I accept the agreement” option and click Next to proceed with the install
   
   

4. Please specify the install directory of where you want the Titan DMZ Server to be installed and click Next.
   
   

5. All DMZ configuration is now stored in a database versus the registry to improve performance and security.
   
   

6. The installer is now ready to perform the install of Titan DMZ Server. Click Next to commence the installation

7. Once it has completed, please click Finish

8. Navigate to the desktop, locate the new Titan DMZ Server shortcut and double click it to launch the web-based Admin UI
   
   
9. The web browser will navigate you to the Admin UI login page and prompt you with the following Welcome window to create an initial Administrator account for Titan DMZ

10. Click “OK LETS GO!” to create the Administrator account and click “Create Initial Admin User”

11. This will create the admin account and log you into the new Titan DMZ Admin UI
