Is it possible to migrate Titan SFTP Server to a new Windows Server?


Reasoning

Sometimes there can be a requirement to move the software to a new Windows Server and therefore, I would like to be able to migrate the Titan SFTP Server to the new machine while preserving the configuration and licensing.

In Titan SFTP Server, export and import server instances which will allow you to move the configuration from one Titan SFTP Server to another.


Steps

  1. Backup the user data under Files/Directories and Directories tab and copy it to the new server so the same folder structure exists on the destination.

  1. Install the latest build of Titan SFTP Server on the new server.
  2. Login to Titan SFTP Server on the new server and add the regcode to activate the software.(If using the same license, you will have to deactivate it from old server)
  3. Export the server instance from the old Titan SFTP Server:

  1. Copy the backup file(.nxcfg) to the new server, login to the admin portal and import it:

  1. Browse to the .nxcfg file and click on Next.
  2. Select database type:
