Error 1116: A Specifed logon session does not exist. Cannot authenticate against DFS shares (Win 2008)
Problem: Unable to access Windows 2008 DFS for Titan users home
directory (UNC accounts enabled using Domain Admin account and Titan
service running under Domain admin account)
Error you may see in the Titan debug log:

Error message when you try to map to a network drive of a DFS share by
using a different user name than the one that you used to log on to
Windows Vista: "A specified logon session does not exist. It may already
have been terminated."
You log on to your Windows Vista desktop computer by using
your regular domain account. When use other credentials to map to a
Distributed File System (DFS) share, you receive the following error
message:
ERROR_NO_SUCH_LOGON_SESSION win error. A specified logon session does
not exist. It may already have been terminated.
Solution: This behavior occurs when the "Do not allow storage of
credentials or .NET Passports for network authentication" Network access
policy is enabled.
To work around this behavior, follow these steps: On the Management
Server, clic...To work around this behavior, follow these steps:
- On the Management Server, click Start, click Run, type gpedit.msc, and then click OK.
- Under Computer Configuration, expand Windows Settings, expand
Security Settings, expand Local Policies, and then expand Security
Options.
- In the Policy pane, right-click Network access: Do not allow storage
of credentials or .NET Passports for network authentication, click
Properties, click Disabled, and then click
