Remote Administration - Errors connecting

I get the following error message when trying to connect to my server using remote administration:
"Error, unable to connect to the domain. Please check to make sure that the domain service has been started and is running"

You will receive this error for one of the following reasons:
  1. There is a firewall between the remote administration PC and the Titan/Cornerstone server, and port 31001 is not open.
  2. The remote administration feature of Titan/Cornerstone is not enabled or is not running. Once you enable the feature, you need to restart the  Titan/Cornerstone service. Check the logs to make sure that the Remote Administration service is in fact up and running and listening on the proper IP address and Port.
  3. Either the Username or Password is incorrect. If 1 and 2 is OK, then 99.9% of the time it is a case problem with the administration password. Passwords are case sensitive. Make sure the username has a capital `A`.
  4. Make sure no other programs are using port 31001 (run netstat -a -n -p tcp -b) on the remote server. If the port is already in use by another program, you will need to change the Administration port on the Titan/Cornerstone Server that you are trying to administer remotely (i.e.: change port to 4052 or other unknown port not in use).
